What would happen if the earth warmed 4°C? Free Course on Global Warming

What happens next? Global Warming Course on Coursera

Global warming is a problem. We know this. We understand the concept that global warming is happening. But aside from the ice caps melting, what does this mean?

A new course from the wonderful website Coursera hopes to answer that very question.

In their new course Turn Down The Heat teachers Kanta Kumari Rigaud, and Pablo Benitez (both from The World Bank),  endeavor to explain the implications of global warming.

"It is now clear that without action on climate change, the world may become 4°C warmer by the end of this century. Such an increase would threaten to roll back decades of development progress; thus, we are at a ‘make it or break it’ point in time. This course presents the most recent scientific evidence, as well as some of the opportunities for urgent action."

Anybody with an internet connection can take the global warming course for free starting January 27th.
